Work is underway for the next version of Virtual-Linux... it will be based on Mandrake 8.2 , no word yet on a release date for this though. The download counter on sourceforge doesn't appear to be counting the downloads...we hope to have that issue resolved soon. From the page views and other comments and suggestions recieved, it appears that downloads are working fine....just a counter issue.News 05/06/2002The number of visitors to this site increased from about 5 a day to over 400 when release 1.1 was finally uploaded. Plus it helped that it was noted on several websites that it was now available for download. Keep the suggestions coming into Crixz and send any cool screenshots of Virtual-Linux 1.1 to the webmaster.News 05/03/2002The 1.1 Version is now available !!Finally have gotten the iso uploaded successfully!! Have fun! News 04-26-2002We apologize for the delay in the newest release... due to the amount of email Crix has been recieving, it is apparent that everyone is anxious to get the new version! An error with a script has caused a minor delay in getting this out....but should be fixed by 04/30/2002. This will be release 1.1 Beta. One known issue is that the CUPS printing is not correctly installed and will be fixed in release 1.2 . Why not fix that before releasing the new ISO's? Well time is the biggest factor......and this way maybe we can stop the flood of email :) So be aware that 1.1 has at least one issue.....to be expected of BETA software :) and that release 1.2 will follow shortly. Please report all bugs and we can continue to improve the software! New release should be available for download by 04/30/2002.........thanks for your patience :) |
